How does Essex Savings Bank
protect my personal information?

To protect your personal information from unauthorized
access and use, we use security measures that comply with
federal law. These measures include computer safeguards
and secured files and buildings.

How does Essex Savings Bank
collect my personal information?

We collect your personal information, for example, when you

  • open an account or pay your bills
  • apply for a loan or provide account information
  • make deposits to or withdrawlals from your account

We also collect your personal information from others, such
as credit bereaus, affiliates or other companies.

Why can’t I limit all sharing?

Federal law gives you the right to limit only

  • sharing for affilates’ everyday business purposes –
    information about your creditworthiness
  • affiliates from using your information to market to you
  • sharing for nonaffiliates to market to you

State laws and individual companies may give you additional
rights to limit sharing.

can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

They can be financial and nonfinancial companies.

  • Essex Savings Bank does not share with nonaffiliates
Joint marketing

A formal agreement between nonaffiliated financial companies
that together market financial products or services to you.

Other important information

As an organization that collects Social Security numbers in the normal course of buiness, Essex Savings
Bank is committed to protecting the confidentiality of Social Security numbers and other information
capable of being associated with a particular individual (“personal information”). To meet this
commitment, we have implemented policies and procedures which are designed to:

  1. protect the confidentiality of Social Security numbers,
  2. prohibit unlawful disclosure of Social Security numbers, and
  3. limit access to Social Security numbers.
